As a Hochfirst guest, start each morning with first-class equipment for a perfect day in the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski resort. Carefully waxed and perfectly serviced: Experts from our partner company Sport Lohmann offer professional ski rental services with the best advice. In the main shop, just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, you will find everything you need for your skiing holiday in their 1,800 m² shop. Afterward, Lohmann's shuttle service will transport your equipment comfortably to the hotel. Equipped with skis, snowboard, and co., it's just a few steps to the slopes thanks to ski in & ski out.

The meeting point for private lessons conducted by the Obergurgl ski school and Bobo's Kids' Club is located directly behind the Hochfirst. The meeting place for group courses is in the centre of the village near the Gaisberg cable car. We will gladly take you there - our shuttle service stands at the ready.

You can learn skiing in Obergurgl with experienced guides in either group or individual courses. Even advanced skiers can profit: Refine and perfect your technique in special courses. All winter sports instructors at the Obergurgl ski school are professionally trained. Many of them are qualified snow sports instructors or certified mountain and ski guides. Snow shoe hiking, cross country skiing & SKI TOURs
SNOW SHOE HIKING
Walking with snowshoes through the deep snow and looking at the winter world with different eyes is a special nature experience for young and old. If you can walk you can also go snowshoe hiking. We offer the snowshoe hike on Wednesday afternoons. The minimum number of participants is 4 people, please register the day before until 5.00pm.

SKI TOURs
The mountain guides know the area in the Oetztal Alps very well and will show you the most beautiful and impressive tours. If you have never done a ski tour before, you can fully rely on our mountain guides. If you once tried out ski touring you will be longing for more! We know one thing for sure, whoever has gone the way once wants to go on ski touring in Gurgl again and again. Please remember, safety always comes first.

cross country skiing
Every muscle is trained during cross country skiing and above all the condition is continuously increased. This sport, which has its origin in Scandinavia, also enjoys great popularity in Austria. You will also find the best conditions for this in the Oetzal Valley. Once you have experienced the movements of cross-country skiing, this sport is a lot of fun. For not to struggle on your own with the technique, book a cross country group lesson with Skischule Obergurgl, also to ensure that you learn the exercises from the beginning with fun and laughter.
